Important Information for Metal Fabrication
and Finishing Facilities The Southwest Clean Air Agency (SWCAA) is providing this information because your facility may be subject to a new EPA regulation, 40 CFR 63 Subpart XXXXXX National Emissions Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) Area Source Standards for Nine Metal Fabrication and Finishing Source Categories. This regulation applies to you if you primarily engage in the operation in one of the following nine source categories:
This rule sets requirements for the following five industrial processes if the process uses or emits cadmium, chromium, lead, manganese and nickel (Note that you must submit an Initial Notification if you primarily engage in the nine source categories listed above, even if you do not currently perform any of these regulated processes):
